Who is behind Blog Shot?
Blog Shot is a division of Search Tempo, one of Australia’s leading search engine optimisation companies. Blog Shot was designed as an affordable and effective off-site optimisation package to assist web sites get better search engine rankings. You do the on-site optimisation, and we look after the off-site optimisation.
What does Blog Shot cost?
The current cost is $395. On average this works out to be about 25 cents per link.
What do I get for my money?
You get the following:
- A quick review of your web site to make sure there is no major problems with the structure or meta tags. If there is we will send you an e-mail.
- Content checking to ensure the links and html code is OK before distribution.
- Over 50 versions of the same content to minimise the change of a duplicate content penalty
- Access to our backlink analysis tool so you can check on the progress of your link-building. This toll shows the link, Google PageRank, anchor text, IP address and how many other links are on the page. You can see the free version here.
- Content submission to over 500 article directors and blogs. Some of these sites have good Google Page Rank meaning over time the power of these new links will improve.
- 50 social bookmarks for your web site on popular sites like Digg, Reddit and Propeller.
Do you give discounts for bulk purchases?
Yes, after your third order, you will be sent a special link and password to an order page that will give you a 30% discount on all your future Blog Shots.
What guarantees do I get?
Because we are only looking after the off-site optimisation and link building, we cannot absolutely guarantee a position on the front page of Google. What we can guarantee is the generation of quality incoming links to your web site. This combined with good on-site optimisation (see hints here), will improve your search engine rankings over time. Here is our promise.
How long will my new links last?
Your new links should last a few years at least. We have no control over most of the article directories and sites where your content is distributed to, but based on our experience these sites will be functioning for years to come - with your content.
Do you have a list of sites where you distribute my content?
For commercial and competitive reasons we can’t publish a full list. You will get the full list once your submit and order. A sample of the sorts of sites we distribute to is available here.
What submission reports do I get?
After submission you will receive:
- A copy of your submission and payment, and confirmation that work has started.
- The username and password to our backlink analysis tool
- A Google alert created so that you can see when Google has found and indexed your content on the various sites.
- Confirmation that your content has been distributed to the article directories and blogs
- Confirmation that your site has been social-bookmarked
The entire submission process can take up to 3 weeks. You should start to see improvements in your rankings in 6 - 8 weeks with ongoing improvements for up to 5 months.
Do you take any other forms of payment apart from PayPal?
No. To simplify the ordering and administrative processes we currently only accept PayPal. If you believe you have the volume to warrant pre-payment by direct deposit, please call or e-mail and we will try to accommodate you.
Do you outsource some of the process?
Yes, we outsource some of the distribution processes to third-parties. These third-parties have been checked for performance and integrity.
All the quality sensitive work like content checking and editing is done in house by Australian educated Australians with tertiary qualifications.
How many web sites in the Blog Shot network?
Currently we have over 130 sites in our own private network, a network that grows each week. We also send your content to four other networks with whom we have reciprocal or financial arrangements.
What are the Goggle PageRanks of the blogs?
The PR for the blogs range from 0 to 4. There are many PR1, PR2 and PR3 blogs. The collective PR of the network grows each day meaning your links increase in value each day.
How many different IP addresses are there in the distribution network?
Our own network has over 30 different class C addresses. The total network have over 250 different IP addresses.
What’s the future of Blog Shot ?
Ten percent of every order is invested in creating new distribution networks and improving the overall Google PageRank of the entire network. Over time this means your content and the links in that content will also improve in weight.
